Get To Know

Priscilla Jamail as Musician & Co-Founder of OBO

  • What does it feel like to be a woman for you? and what does it feel like the only girl in the band?
  • Being a woman means being a jack of all trades and providing care for everyone I love and I wouldn't trade it for anything else. Sometimes being a woman feels impossible, but most of the time it feels special because we can be empowering, vulnerable, loving, considerate, and bright all at once. We’re super heroes!

I’m lucky because my band-mates treat me no different than how they would treat themselves, so it feels equal but I also know that they would do anything to protect me and treat me with respect at all times!

  • I never ever go to a show without:
  • My mini makeup bag that has a mini mascara, concealer and eyeliner!

Glasses because I can't see without them.

A small perfume because I have to smell good when I get off stage.

    Ginger lemon hot tea!

A cardigan because I get cold (my Sassh one most of the time!)

  • Who are you inside Goodnight Electric? And who are you OUTSIDE Goodnight Electric?
  • Inside Goodnight Electric I am everyone's little sister, backing vocal and the bands driver sometimes. Outside Goodnight Electric, I am a tired student, amateur cook, cheerful baker, mother of 3 dogs and a cat, gardener, horse rider, corporate breadwinner, and interior design enthusiast.. Pretty much a jack of all trades but master of none.

  • Where is your most favorite spot in Obo?
  • The bar! I can spend hours sitting at the bar! I like it there because I can chat with the bar and kitchen crew, share snacks, try new drinks or order my favorite ones and be right in front of the turntable.

  • What makes Obo different from the other restaurant?
  • I think everyone who is lucky enough to be a part of OBO doesn't see OBO as a restaurant, but rather a space to come to whenever you need to take a break, want to listen to music on loud speakers, sit by the pool and chat with your friends or maybe work in peace with a different view. Our main idea for OBO was that we could make a place where all our friends can come and feel like they are coming “home”.. An easy place for everyone to enjoy music, family food, and drinks! I really encourage anyone who comes over to really make themselves feel at home.

  • What does it feel like having 2 million streams on Spotify?
  • It feels strange but in a good way. If you really think about it, can you imagine your voice being played 2 million times? That’s crazy, but very special and humbling.
